    Binghamton, N.Y. - The Binghamton Devils have signed forward Brian Ward to a one year, American League contract. Binghamton's General Manager, Tom Fitzgerald announced the news earlier today. 

    The Haverill, MA native posted 102 points (57 goals, 45 assists) and a plus/minus rating of +22 in 108 games played with the Adirondack Thunder. The twenty-six year old left the team in regular season goals for the past two years.

The New Jersey Devils first preseason game is on Monday, September 17 and the Binghamton Devils aren't too far behind as they take the ice on Friday, September 28 for their first preseason game. Speaking of ice, there is no longer a basketball court at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

Binghamton Devils head coach, Rick Kowalsky was promoted as the New Jersey Devil's assistant coach.  Rick Kowalsky has served as the Albany and Binghamton Devils head coach for the past eight years, where he won AHL coach of the year in the 2015-16 season.
