For Devils goalie Mackenzie Blackwood those moments all came to light in December of 2018. Not behind close doors, although, the process to getting to the big moment wasn't so advertised, even if advertised at all.

    Devils Sign Popugaev To AHL Contract

    Binghamton, N.Y. - The Binghamton Devils announced today that the club has signed forward Nikita Popugaev to an American Hockey League contract for the 2019-2020 season. The 6-foot-6, twenty year old played in 17 games for Binghamton and recorded five points (three goals, two assists.) Prior to joining the Devils, Popugaev spent the 2018-19 season and parts for the 2017-18 season in the Kontinental Hockey League with both CSKA Moscow and Khabarovsk Amur.

With the victory, Laval ended a seven game losing streak. The comeback started on the power play as John Quenneville fired in his 14th of the year from the top of the left wing circle.

    Binghamton, N.Y. - John Quenneville and Mackenzie Blackwood were selected to the AHL All-Star Classic on Thursday January 3rd and both were still playing in the NHL with the New Jersey Devils. However, over the weekend forward JOhn Quenneville was called back down to Binghamton and if he stays here for the next few weeks he'll be making his first All-Star Classic appearance.
