The Black Bears' Dakota Bohn has been named the Federal Prospect Hockey League's Defenseman of the Year, the third straight season a Bear has received the honor.

Bohn played 44 games for Binghamton this year, scoring 16 goals and dishing 35 assists for an average of 1.2 points per game. Bohn is tied for the team lead with 10 power-play goals.

Bohn has served 54 penalty minutes this season and has accumulated a +23 goal differential on the ice, helping boost the top defense in the Empire Division with 170 goals allowed in 56 games.

Bohn and the Bears turn their heads to the Watertown Wolves for a quarterfinal round matchup beginning Friday, April 19th. Game one is scheduled for 7:30 pm in Watertown.

Former Black Bear Jake Schultz received the honor in 2023 while Kyle Powell secured the award in 2022.
