The Binghamton Black Bears are moving on! Binghamton beats Watertown 7-2 to sweep the series 2-0 and advance to the FPHL Semifinals.

Binghamton beat the Wolves 4-2 in game one, which was played in Watertown, before crushing their upstate rival in game two.

Connor Smith got the scoring started less than five minutes into the game on a breakaway even-strength goal. Two minutes later, Dakota Bohn fired top shelf off a Kyle Stephan pass for a shorthanded goal, giving Binghamton a 2-0 lead. Watertown did, however, put up a fight shortly thereafter as Ross Bartlett buried a shot from the doorstep and gave the Wolves their first goal of the game.

Then Don Olivieri took advantage of a power play and scored a slapper from deep to give Binghamton a 3-1 lead at the end of the first. But before the period would come to a close, Connor Smith scored his second of the contest as Colan Fitzgerald snuck the puck over on the outset to end the first period with a 4-1 lead.

Jesse Anderson struck first in the second period with a wrister from Gavin Yates. Watertown scored their second goal of the game just over 13 minutes into the second period before Binghamton added two more to end the game with a 7-2 win.

Connor Smith earned the first star with two goals and an assist while Olivieri's two goals were good enough for the second star and Gavin Yates' three points got him the third star.

Connor McAnama faced 31 shots, saving 29 of them for a .935 save percentage.

The Black Bears will play the winner of Danbury vs. Motor City in the second round. The Hat Tricks and Rockers are tied at one game apiece.
