    Vestal, N.Y. - Binghamton University's wrestling team will continue their historic season into the 2019 NCAA wrestling Championships in Pittsburgh, PA. from March 21-23. Four Bearcats will represent Binghamton University, the most the program has had since 2013. "We're excited to wrestle against the best guys in the country" said head coach Kyle Borshoff.

    Binghamton, N.Y. - Seton Catholic Central girls basketball looked to grab their second state title in three seasons and third overall on Sunday morning at Hudson Valley Community College. Only three Saints scored in the first half of the Class A final against Mendon High School. Seniors Marina Maerkl and Julia Hauer combined for 22 points heading into the second half, scoring 22 of the Saints 27 points.

    New York - The New York Yankees announced on Friday that ace right-hander Luis Severino will miss the first month of the regular season while he recovers from rotator cuff inflammation. For the first time since 2006, the Purple Tornadoes were crowned Section IV Class B champions with a 66-42 win over the Owego Indians. Walking onto the court, both teams felt like they needed to prove something.

Show and Timmy Rose's relationship has continuously grown on and off the basketball court.  On Tuesday senior guard, Timmy Rose and guard J.C. Show played in the Events Center in front of the team's home crowd for their final game of the regular season as well as the final time of their career.

    Legendary Met pitcher Tom Seaver is suffering from dementia and will not make any more public appearances, his family announced in a statement on Thursday.  His family expressed that Seaver will continue to work on his vineyard in California, but asked for privacy. The 74-year old former right-hander led his "Miracle Mets" to one of the most doubtful championships in American sports history in 1969.

    Devils Sign Forward Sam Kurker To PTO

    Binghamton, N.Y. - The Binghamton Devils signed forward Sam Kurker to a professional tryout contract on Wednesday. The twenty-four year old has 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 32 games with the ECHL's Manchester Monarchs this season. Kurker played in 15 American Hockey League games this season with the Ontario Reign and tallied two goals and two assists.

The twenty-four year old has 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 32 games with the ECHL's Manchester Monarchs this season.     Owego, N.Y - Owego Indians basketball star Kaci Donovan announced on Twitter that she's committing to Penn State University to play basketball.  The Nittany Lions are more than halfway through their 2018-19 season with an overall record of 9-9 and 2-5 in conference play. PSU plays in the BIG Ten Conference and plays its home games in the Bryce Jordan Center.

    Owego, N.Y. - Owego volleyball star Grace Thomas was named the New York Volleyball Coaches Association Section IV Player of the Year.  The senior setter was apart of two Class B State Championships, one of them being in 2015 when the team went 19-0. Unfortunately, the Indians fell short in the State Championship game in 2018 against West hill.

A few Section IV girl's basketball teams took time out of their winter break to compete in the Third Annual Wildcat Holiday Invitational Tournament. The tournament started Thursday and ended Friday with the 2018 Wildcat Invitational Championship game against Maine-Endwell and Johnson City.
