Two suspects from Deposit have been indicted on federal charges, accused of working together to sell drugs over the span of about five months. That's according to documents filed with the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.

The federal indictment charges Marlon Graham, 36, and Johnnah Degraw, 30, with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

The pair was arrested on November 30th after the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force raided a Deposit house, seizing over $1M in narcotics and $25,000 cash, presumed to be from drug sales. Police say the drugs seized included fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine.

The federal charges were pursued separately from state charges. A separate indictment from a Broome County jury in December charges both Graham and Degraw with several counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Degraw was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Police say Degraw's three-month-old child was in the house at the time of the raid.

At a press conference following their initial arrest, police said Graham and Degraw played a significant role in the local drug trade.

"Two milligrams of Fentanyl is a lethal dose. So if you do the math, the amount they seized is equivalent to half a million lethal doses, which would be enough to kill every man, woman, and child in Broome County two times over," said Johnson City Chief Brent Dodge in December, 2018.
