The Binghamton Rotary Club invites local musician and educator Mike Carbone to speak about his love for music and the upcoming July fest.

Carbone formerly taught at the Johnson City School District and Binghamton University.

He has also been the music coordinator for the July Fest for the past 11 years.

The festival returns this year starting Friday, July 12, bringing over 106 jazz musicians and bands to downtown throughout the weekend.

There will also be local food vendors and artists set up each day.

"Different variety of sounds, different variety of styles, some jazz, some pop, some bluegrass, some blues. And then Sunday is all Latin jazz all day long, from noon to 4:30, 5:00 p.m. So hopefully people would be dancing in the streets and it's all free," said Carbone.
