Binghamton City School District students are invited to Rec Park this Saturday to learn more about what the district offers.

Leaders Day runs from 1 to 6 p.m. and is free.

Organizers hope the day's events will inspire future leaders within the district community.

Attendees can attend the whole day or just come for one of the thirty-minute events that interest them.

"Once I start doing it I just become like this different person. And yeah, having all the lighting and everyone cheering Oh my God, that you so loud. It's so, it's amazing. It's really fulfilling knowing that all my hard work pays off," said BHS student Olivia Ehmke.

There will be arts and athletics, from cheerleading and lacrosse to chorus and poetry.

"Football, basketball, lacrosse. You gotta be a good leader and if you're not a leader you have to at least help in a certain way. You don't have to be the superstar all the time. You could be helping in different ways," said BHS student Derek Abu.

You do have to register ahead of time and an adult must accompany children.
