A Binghamton man has been sentenced to nearly a year and a half in federal prison for possessing ammunition as a felon.

According to the United States Department of Justice, Joseph Horan admitted to possessing a magazine with six rounds of .380 ammunition in November 2022. He was on parole at the time. Horan was convicted in 2019 in Broome County on a felony and as a result, he is prohibited from legally possessing ammunition.
