The Maine-Endwell Spartans are still dancing! Liam Hadfield throws a complete game one-hit shutout en route to a 9-0 win over Jamesville-Dewitt.

Hadfield tallied nine strikeouts in the win just one week after throwing a nine-inning victory over Nanuet.

Offensively, the Spartans were led by their senior leaders--Austyn Nyschot went two-for-two on the day with a pair of walks and two ribbies. Catcher Santino Michitti also picked up two hits, one being a double, and led the Spartans with three RBI. Hadfield helped himself out with a first-inning double that gave M-E the lead, one they never relinquished. Jack Hennessey also contributed at the plate picking up a base knock RBI and two runs. Stratos Anastos, Brady Palmer and Dom Randesi all reached base twice as well.

The Spartans will play in the NYS Class A Championship on Saturday at 1 pm at Mirabito Stadium. Fox 40 will have the highlights and postgame comments on Fox 40 News at 10. The Spartans are tasked with Kings Park who shutout Sutherland on Friday.

This semifinal matchup was played at Union-Endicott High School.
