June is here and that means high school seniors will soon be graduating.

Before that, Chenango Valley graduates donned their caps and gowns a little early to visit their alma maters.

At Port Dickinson Elementary, seniors paired up with kindergarteners to walk through the halls. Other students held signs of congratulations and cheered them on as they passed by.

The district hopes this helps celebrate the milestone and inspire the younger students. For the seniors, it's an exciting and bittersweet time.

"It's a very surreal experience being back in the schools that we've grown up in a very long time ago," said salutatorian Sophia Ashman. "It's crazy to see how things have changed, but like still, the culture is the same, like you have all the excited little kids and it's the end of the year, so it's really exciting to be here and it's very fun to go through all of it."

C.V. graduation is Friday, June 28th.
