The Deposit-Hancock Eagles are one win away from making it three NYS Class D Championships after thwarting Scio/Friendship on Friday afternoon.

The Eagles took down their Section V counterpart 8-2 in a rematch of last year's State Championship where DH prevailed in a 13-inning marathon.

Addison Makowksi got the start in the circle, allowing two runs in six innings, but also gave up no hits according to Nate Lull.

The Class D Dynasty now turns their heads to Salem from Section 2. First pitch will be thrown at 10:30 am on Saturday at Martha Avenue Recreational Park in Long Island.

Prior to combining with Hancock, Deposit won four state titles from 2015 to 2019 and made it to all five state title games along that stretch. That means, that Deposit will now play in their eighth-straight NYS Class D Championship game.
