Moms House in Johnson City celebrated five graduates for completing their education on Thursday, June 6.

This year's graduates from Mom's House included social workers and parents in nursing. The non-profit organization offers services to help low-income, single parents complete their education.

Each annual graduation ceremony helps show Mom's House's commitment to providing opportunities for those in the community.

"The graduates here at Mom's house, they overcome a lot. They face a lot of challenges that typical students do not see," Executive Director for Mom's House Bethany Peake said. "On top of managing classwork and school work and other life struggles, they have the struggle of raising children and all of the things that comes with that."
