A Binghamton man will spend over five years in state prison after being found with meth during a traffic stop last fall.

According to the Broome County District Attorney, Timothy Boulton was found in possession of over a half-ounce of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in November 2023. At the time of his arrest, he also forfeited $5,545 in cash.

Boulton was sentenced as a second felony offender on the charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree to 5.5 years in state prison, followed by three years post-release supervision.
