After hiatuses and being attached to other events, Front Street Day have returned in its original form to Vestal.

Over 100 vendors lined Front Street in Vestal with goods and displays for all who took part in the fair.

While Front Street Day happened last year as apart of the bicentennial, this is the first year in recent memory it was fully run by the vestal rec department.

Missy Papa, who led in coordinating the event, expressed to me what the support from the community today meant.

"I am so very happy that the town has allowed the rec department to reintroduce this event back to the community. I was a part of the program several years ago when we ran it. Also, the community desperately wanted it back and we are very happy that it's back and hope it keeps growing."

Papa hopes that today will provide a strong foundation for the event to thrive in the years to come.
