The fourth-most wanted person on the Broome County Sheriff's Most Wanted List was arrested in Chenango Forks after a five-month search.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Joseph C. Chinchilla had been wanted by the office on Reckless Endangerment and Unlawful Fleeing charges after an attempted traffic stop and pursuit in early January. He was also wanted on a Violation of Probation charge by the Village of Endicott, according to the office.

Around 11 p.m. on May 22nd, a search warrant was executed at an Anderson Road residence in Chenango Forks by the Broome County Sheriff's Warrants Division and the United States Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force. Chinchilla was located in the basement and was arrested without incident.

He was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree and Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree.
