A Walton woman has been sentenced after she previously pleaded guilty to the charges of DWI and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st degree earlier this year.

According to the Delaware County District Attorney, Amy Kille was sentenced to a five-year term of probation supervision subject to the successful completion of Adult Treatment Court. Her license was also revoked and she was ordered to install an ignition interlock device in any vehicle she owns or operates.

If she does not complete the program, she faces between 1.3 to 4 years in state prison.

This sentence comes after Kille pleaded guilty to the above charges in January after she was stopped in Walton in August 2023 after she was observed swerving in and out of lanes of traffic. At the time, Kille's license had been revoked for a prior DWI offense and it was later determined Kille's blood alcohol content was .25 percent, more than three times the legal limit of .08 percent in New York.
