"Job's Done"  said Binghamton Black Bears captain Tyson Kirkby. The Black Bears and the Binghamton community helped celebrate their Commissioner's cup victory over the weekend, and the first Binghamton hockey championship since 2011 when the Binghamton Senators hoisted the Calder Cup.

A huge part in becoming champions being the fans, the team dominant at home this season and it did not change in the playoffs. On Friday for game 3 of the final against Carolina, a sold-out crowd awaited the Black Bears with lines starting as early as 5 P.M.

"I never have seen fans line up on the sidewalk going in to get into this arena for that game Friday night," said Black Bears fan Mark Sanford. "It is unreal".

Binghamton would put on a show rallying from being down 2-0 early in the first period, the Black Bears would score four of the next five goals and finish the aforementioned job to be champions of the FPHL.

Longtime Binghamton hockey fan Derek Swisloswski says it was truly surreal.

"I had a tear in my eye and I was just saying we finally have done it," said Swisloswski.

Furthermore the relationship between the fans and the Black Bears players and staff did not go unnoticed, owner Andreas Johannson says the celebration was truly a win for everyone.

"The whole reason we are here is for the fans and for Black Bear Nation," said Johannson. "These fans coming out on a monday night to celebrate the boys it means the world to them and this entire organization.
