100 Years Ago is brought to you by Broome Recycles.

100 years ago today, construction of the new Sons of Italy Lodge Number 443, on Odell Avenue in Endicott, is now complete, and a celebration will be held this Friday.

It was announced today that the first open-air dance of the season will be held Wednesday night at the Ideal Pavilion in Endicott.

A report from the Broome County Farm shows that 180 inmates are now being cared for at the facility.

Plans are being made at the Binghamton State Hospital to hold a sale of articles, which were made by patients participating in the occupational therapy classes.

Finally, this is Opening Day at Johnson Field, where the Triple Cities club will play Utica in the New York-Pennsylvania League. The game starts at 3:30, so come on out and support the team!
