For the first time in program history, the Binghamton Women's Lacrosse Program are America East Conference Champions. The Bearcats would hold on to a 12-11 win over UAlbany on Sunday morning at John Fallon Field. The win is also the first time Binghamton would defeat UAlbany in program history.

UAlbany would come out strong in the beginning scoring seven of the first nine goals of the contest. Binghamton would respond in the second quarter going on a 5-1 run in the final 7:18 of the first half to bring the Bearcats within one goal trailing 8-7.

The third quarter would be all Bearcats as Binghamton would continue their momentum from the second quarter into the third stringing together two goals in the first 2:30 of the frame to tie the game and then take their first lead of the day off the stick of Kristen Scheidel. The Bearcats adding two more goals in the quarter top go up by three heading into the final quarter.

Binghamton would add some insurance early in the fourth with a goal by Madison Murphy to give the Bearcats a four goal cushion but UAlbany would punch back with two goals in a span of 15 seconds early in the fourth to make it a 12-10 game. The Great Danes would add one more goal in the late stages but would be unable to find the back of the net.

The Bearcats offense would be led by Emma Blloshmi who would tally four of Binghamton's goals, followed by Olivia Muscolino and Kristen Scheidel both tallying three points in the win.

Binghamton netminder Sofia Salgado would pick up 9 saves on 20 shots in the win for Binghamton which advances them to the NCAA tournament.
