The Black Bears would take a commanding 2-0 series lead after winning game two in Carolina versus the Thunderbirds in a 4-3 final.

Binghamton would open up the scoring early with Gavin Yates burying his third of the playoffs, however Carolina would respond a couple minutes later to even it at 1-1.

The Black Bears would regain their lead yet again midway through the first with two quick goals courtesy of Tyson Kirkby and Yates, Kirkby with his first goal since April 7.

Carolina would score the only goal in the second period to make it a 3-2 contest heading into the final frame where the Thunderbirds outshot the Black Bears 31-17 at that point.

Binghamton would add some security to their lead with Kirkby tallying his second goal of the night on the man advantage with just over seven minutes to go in the third period.

Carolina would claw back with a goal with an extra skater at 15:28 of the third period, however Connor McAnanama would pick up another win tallying 38 saves on the night.

The Black Bears continue their hot streak they took into the playoffs now winners of their last 12 games and are now one win away from their first ever FPHL Commissioner's Cup.
