The Broome County Sheriff's Office says a Sanford man with previous felony convictions is now facing new weapons and drug charges.

Authorities say on April 27, at approximately 5:06, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle in Windsor. During the stop, authorities found a white powder substance in the vehicle, which field tested positive for cocaine. 

Authorities also located a case containing loaded black Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 .22 LR, an AR-15 style rifle with an attached 25-round magazine and a 25-round magazine full of .22 LR rounds.

As a result, 37-year-old Scott M. Hanrahan was charged with the following:

· Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree 

· Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree 

· Criminal Possession of an Assault Weapon in the third degree

· Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree

He remains at the Broome County Correctional Facility.
