Sidney Police say a suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a robbery that occurred on Friday afternoon.

Around 1:40 p.m. on April 26th, the Smiley's Stop and Shop was robbed at gunpoint by a male wearing a wig and a hooded sweatshirt. According to police, Harun A. Spence was arrested on the evening of April 27th. He was charged with the following:

  • Robbery in the 1st
  • Criminal Use of a Weapon in the 1st
  • Grand Larceny in the 4th
  • Menacing in the 2nd

A gun was recovered as Spence was taken into custody, as well as other evidence related to the case, according to the department. This investigation is on-going and additional charges may be pending.
