A sounding 20-8 victory over Bryant would make history for the Bearcats Women's Lacrosse program as they would pick up their first ever America East regular season co-championship sharing it with UAlbany as both teams would finish the regular season with a record of 5-1 in conference play.

Head Coach Stephanie Allen says that this milestone for the program is not just for the current Bearcats, but the past and future ones as well.

"These girls have just given their all this season and not even just doing this for themselves, but the alumni, the future Bearcats, you know, that that will hope to have here one day." said Allen.

Binghamton would jump out to an early lead and never let it go as the Bearcats would enter the half up 8-5 before outscoring the Bulldogs 9-1 in the third quarter to put the contest out of reach for Bryant.

Nine different Bearcats would find the back of the net for Binghamton today, the Bearcats were headlined by Gabriella Meli, Madison Murphy, Emma Blloshmi, and Carla Curth each scoring 3 goals each as well as Olivia Muscolino scoring four goals and leading the charge with a team-high nine points on the day.

The Bearcats will now advance to the America East tournament where they will take on the #3 ranked UMBC Retrievers who would fall in their final conference game of the season to the Bearcats in a 14-13 overtime loss on April 20.

Coach Allen saying that she believes the team did not perform up to potential during that contest but also did recognize the threats that UMBC brings to their game.

"They are lethal on offense," said Allen. "We were not our best when we played to UMBC and I think that gives me a lot of hope knowing that we can clean some things up and be a better version of ourselves when we face them in the semifinals".

The America East tournament is scheduled for the weekend of May 3-5 and will be held at the #1 seed UAlbany. More details will be provided as they are made available.
