A construction project on Interstate 81 will impact motorists beginning on Monday, April 29th.

According to the NYSDOT, the project will occur at the junction of I-81 southbound and State Route 17 eastbound. It will force a lane closure in both directions between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. nightly on Monday. This work is expected to last at least seven days.

The lane reductions will be in place from Exit 4B on I-81 and Exit 72 on 17 and continue until the State Route 7 (Brandywine Expressway) overpass.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and should allow for extra travel time. Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
