A five run fourth inning for the Fisher Cats would be crucial to handing Binghamton their first series loss of the season in a 8-4 final on Sunday afternoon at Mirabito Stadium.

Binghamton would jump out to the early lead in Sunday's contest putting up three runs in the first courtesy of a couple wild pitches and a sacrifice fly by Jose Peroza.

After a couple innings of shutout ball New Hampshire would jump out with a bang in the fourth inning stringing together five runs and chasing out Luis Moreno in the process who would allow 5 hits, 4 runs, and deal 4 strikeouts through 3.2 innings.

Through three more innings after the fifth the score would remain the same until the eighth where New Hampshire would tally on a pair of RBI singles and send in three runs to make it a 8-3 game, Binghamton would get one run back in the bottom half off of a Alex Ramirez homer.

The big point from the contest being the bats from Binghamton cooling down after the first inning as the team had four total hits in the contest, two of them being in the first inning. New Hampshire's pitching also performing today dealing 14 strikeouts in total on the day.

Binghamton will hit the road this week for a series with the Eastern League defending champion Erie Sea Wolves beginning on Tuesday, April 9.
