A visual art contest depicting what a healthy neighborhood looks like is open to Broome County residents.

The contest is part of both Healthy Neighborhoods Day and Healthy Homes Month. To enter the contest, share a photo, drawing, or video of what demonstrates a healthy neighborhood to [email protected]. Include your name and town you live in with the submission.

The winner will be announced and shared on the Broome County Health Department social media accounts on April 30th. The winner will receive a basket of summer fun, safety, and cleaning supplies.

Healthy Neighborhoods Day is observed on April 2nd as part of the 2024 National Public Health Week. Healthy Homes Month was established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. It raises awareness of how homes impact our health.
