While it felt far from summer today, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies are already thinking about when they'll become the Binghamton Spiedies, including their jersey design.

HCA preschoolers got the chance to color Charlie Charpit and spiedie sandwiches for the chance of it ending on a player's jersey.

The kids also met Rowdy, Ruby and Charlie, all while putting their skills on display.

HCA's residents and people in their Individual Resident Alternative will also be submitting their colorful creations for the

After their run of games as the spiedies, the jerseys will be auctioned off online and all proceeds will benefit the HCA.

"To have the children know that they'll be coloring and that they might be featured on a jersey that the players actually wear. Obviously, it's a very thrilling thing for anyone, let alone preschoolers and our residents as well. They're very excited. A lot of our residents are very into sports and so this is a very exciting thing for them as well," explained Director of Development and Community Relations Jaclyn Bombard.

The Rumble Ponies become the Spiedies July 19th through the 21st.
