The Black Bears would sweep their weekend matchups by picking up a 4-2 win on Sunday in Danbury against the Hat Tricks.

A back and forth affair it was as Binghamton scored the opening goal courtesy of Andrew Uturo, followed by Danbury answering with a short-handed goal early in the second period. The Black Bears would return the favor five minutes later with a powerplay goal by Daniel Stone to give Binghamton a 2-1 lead heading into period three.

Much of the same in the third as Danbury would answer on a man-advantage opportunity of their own to tie the contest at 2-2 with just under six minutes remaining.

Binghamton would play spoiler late in the third with 2:50 to go Peter Izzo would net his first goal in a Black Bears sweater, captain Tyson Kirkby would add an empty net goal to seal the deal.

Black Bears netminder Nolan Egbert would pick up 42 saves in the win.

The next home contest for Binghamton will be in a couple weeks as the Black Bears have the next two weekends visiting Elmira and Danbury before hosting Mississippi on Friday, March 15 and 16.
