Candidate for the 123rd Assembly District Lisa O'Keefe spoke today about what changes she would like made to crime legislation in the state.

O'Keefe says Albany is too soft on crime, making New Yorkers feel unsafe.

"When we're talking about legislation, we're talking about crime and we're talking about things that we have to improve for our entire generation," she said.

If elected, she says she would focus on the economy and legislation proven to work to bring crime down. She adds she would also work on expanding resources for substance abuse and mental health.

O'Keefe is running against Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo. Election Day is November 5th.
