The Broome County Sheriff's Office announces several arrests for various crimes for the week of Monday, January 29th and Sunday, February 4th.

Mel A. Alexander, Jr. of Binghamton was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of over 0.18, and Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of over .08, following a motor vehicle accident in the City of Binghamton.

Timothy D. Backes of Windsor was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree (Physical Contact w/Order of Protection), Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree (Prior Conviction Within 5 Years), Aggravated Family Offense, and Harassment in the 2nd degree following a domestic incident. After arriving at the Broome County Correctional Facility and contacting the victim, Backes was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree (Prior Conviction Within 5 Years) and Aggravated Family Offense.

Kodi A. Black of Johnson City was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Previous Conviction within 10 years, and several violations following a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Union.

Teryll R. Grant of Endicott was charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th degree (Value of Property Greater than $1,000), following a fraud investigation in the Town of Chenango.

Timothy E. Hoose, Sr. of Berkshire was charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree following a fraud investigation in the Town of Windsor.

Keron K. Lewis of Binghamton was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, and several violations following a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Dickinson.

Zachariah M. Lunn and Dylan J. Lunn of Windsor were charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th degree (Value of Property Greater than $1,000), following a larceny investigation in the Town of Union.

Samuel J. Pierce of Candor was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Loaded in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon with a Previous Conviction in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property/Vehicle in the 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm/Knife in the 4th degree, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Office in the 3rd degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd degree, and 17 various traffic violations including Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle with 3 or more open suspensions following a Stolen Vehicle Pursuit that ended in the Town of Maine.

Chester O. Schmitt of Binghamton was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Narcotics) in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Stimulant) in the 3rd degree, Criminal Use in the 2nd degree of Drug Paraphernalia, and several violations, including Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle following a traffic stop in the City of Binghamton.

Tyler A. Smith of Binghamton was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree and Menacing in the 2nd degree following a domestic incident in the Town of Chenango.

Kassandra M. Wolfran of Port Crane was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of over 0.18, Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of over .08, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, and Moving from a Lane Unsafely following a Motor Vehicle Accident in the Town of Union.
