100 years ago today, police are reporting that Binghamton is virtually free from disorderly women and disorderly establishments. There have been so many arrests by vice officers in the recent past that Binghamton is now known throughout the East as a poor place for activities of an unsavory nature.

A bakery wagon was struck by a trolley car in Endicott this morning. The wagon was demolished, but there were no serious injuries.

A safe deposit box will be opened soon in an attempt to determine the true identity of a patient who died last week at the Binghamton State Hospital. Known as the “mystery man,” he claimed to be a descendant of the Vanderbilt family of New York City and said he was stolen away from that family as a child.

Finally, a turkey was reported lost yesterday from a Cook Street residence in Johnson City, and a reward is offered for its return.
