100 years ago today, the stockholders in the Noyes Comb Company have reached an agreement to accept an offer from Whitney Point, to relocate the business there.

Plans were announced to erect a new steeple at the First Congregational Church at Front and Main Streets, to replace the old steeple that was torn down recently.

Five men were arrested Saturday night during a raid on a saloon at Conklin Avenue. They were charged with playing in a gambling game.

Finally, the Mygatt Street sewer system has sprung a leak, causing raw sewage to flow into Trout Brook and creating an offensive odor in the neighborhood near Spring Forest Cemetery.
