Hoffman Car Wash is collecting non-perishable food items for food pantries and a couple of local food pantries are among those that will receive the donated food.

This is the second time this year and the 12th consecutive year Hoffman is having the food drive. The drive is scheduled for Saturday, October 21st and Sunday, October 22nd.

The food pantries in Broome County that are included are Good Neighbors in Binghamton and Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Vestal.

Items that are suggested for donation include:

  • canned meat or fish
  • canned entrees (stew,
    ravioli, etc.)
  • canned fruit in juice
  • canned spaghetti sauce
  • canned soup
  • hot or cold cereal
  • canned 100 percent juice
  • peanut butter and jelly

Anyone who makes a food donation on either day will receive a free Ultimate Car Wash. This is part of Hoffman's Car Wash's Practice Kindness initiative.
