The bridge will cross the Chenango River from Washington Street to Riverside Drive, and construction is scheduled to begin in September.

Plans were announced today for the construction of eight tennis courts in Recreation Park.

Ten men and one woman were arrested early Sunday morning in a sensational raid of a disorderly house on Hill Avenue in Endicott.

Officers of the Broome County Sheriff’s Department are now equipped with hard rubber police clubs, to be used when raiding disorderly houses and for breaking up fights.

Finally, the annual kite flying contest of the Binghamton Boys’ Club will be held at the fair grounds at Stow Park this Thursday afternoon.

And that was the news 100 years ago.
