Elderwood living center hosted a car show today run by local race fans to raise money for the home.

Dozens of cars lined the parking lot as go-karts, tractors, muscle cars, and dirt track cars made the main attraction.

This is the second annual car show at Elderwood and the organizers have raffles and donation bins which all proceeds go to the facility.

Organizers of the show said they love doing it there because it gives residents that don't have the ability to travel far from the facility the chance to see some cool cars and get outside.

"I just wanted to do something to be able to give back to the community and do something special for the residents who live here. Obviously, it's a little hard for them to get out and to go to car races or car shows, but, you know, that doesn't change the fact that they still love it and still want to be able to see it and be involved with it. So it's just a great way, I think, for Judy and Dave and these great racing community to give back to the seniors who can't get out to the races anymore" said Colleen Hunt and other organizers of the car show.
