Lucky Hare Brewery Opens New Location in Owego
Lucky Hare Taproom opened up its doors today in Owego, just in time for the holiday weekend at 17 Lake street.
"I just want people to come out, enjoy themselves again. It's going to be a beautiful weekend. Come see the space. You know, there's event space that can be used in the back along with a beautiful bar. So just some people come out and have a good time," said co-owner Richard Thiel.
Their drinks, both farm and micro brews, are produced in Watkins Glen.
"We just focus on traditional styles. We don't specialize in any one thing. So you can get a stout, an IPA, sour beer, traditional pilsners or lagers. Try, try to focus on the wide spectrum as opposed to anything specific," he added.
This is the second taproom for co-owners Ian Conboy and Thiel; they have another in Hector.
On top of the brews, they also offer a light fare food menu with sandwiches and salads.
Lucky Hare is open Sunday 12-8, Monday and Tuesday 2-8, and 12-9 Wednesday to Friday.
