As part of their year community project, the West Middle School Junior Honor Society made and donated chemo bags to Lourdes Hospital.

"We looked at two situations and this one stood out the most to us and we felt that this one really needed our help," explained Joshua Mallery, NJHS vice president.

The bags will go to those going through chemotherapy to make them more comfortable.

"It was very important that we made these chemo care kits for these people suffering during these times. And we just felt it was the right thing to do," added Jordan Price, the president of NJHS.

The chemo care bags have water bottles, lip balm, puzzle books, snacks, neck pillows and blankets.

To get the supplies, they ran a donation drive where people dropped off the items or money.

"I think anyone and everyone can and think about what they can do to make a little difference," Mallery said.

"I think that people at home should donate things like this to people here or it's it's very important to give back to the community," noted Prince.
