An Elmira man is facing charges after leading state police on a pursuit that ended with his vehicle in the front lawn of a residence on State Route 34.

According to New York State Police, a traffic stop was attempted on Travis S. Fedock of Elmira after he was seen committing vehicle and traffic violations in Waverly.

Police say Fedock failed to stop and left the village on State Route 34. It was at this point, his  vehicle left the road, went airborne, and struck a front porch roof of a residence on SR 34 before coming to a stop on the roof on the lawn.

Fedock exited the vehicle and took off on foot. He was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.

He was charged with the following:

  • Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree
  • Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree
