Police Seize Stolen Handgun in Binghamton Drug Bust
Police say they recovered a handgun stolen from Chenango County in a drug bust that led to one arrest in the City of Binghamton.
Members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force (SIU) on Monday, May 22, 2023, executed a search at an apartment at 100 Susquehanna Street.
SIU officers seized the loaded .45 caliber Glock handgun, 7.1 ounces of cocaine, and items used for packaging drugs.
Anthony S. Carter, 39, was arrested on the following charges:
-Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree (1 count)
-Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree (2 counts)
-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (1 count)
-Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree (1 count)
-Criminal Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree (2 counts)
-Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree (1 count)
