Binghamton Men's Basketball Drops Away Game to Maryland
The Binghamton University men's basketball team traveled south to Maryland this week to take on the Terrapins of the Big 10.
The Bearcats fell to the Terrapins 76 to 52 thanks to being outscored 44 to 23 in the first half while putting up a much bigger fight in the second half, 32-29. John McGriff was the lone Bearcat in double figures with 12 points shooting five for 11 from the field. BU shot just 34 percent from the field and 19 percent from beyond the arch, not a mixture for success.
The team's best shooter of the night was Dan Petcash who went three for four on the night for six points. BU moves to 2-1 on the season and returns to the court for a two-game homestand as they host Sacred Heart on Saturday at 2 pm then Columbia on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving also at 2 pm. Then they head to Philly for a bout with La Salle before once again starting a homestand as they host Loyola Maryland, Stonehill then Colgate who took down Syracuse earlier tonight.
