During their best season in over a decade, Binghamton University drops the interim tag from head coach Levell Sanders title.

Sanders has been named the permanent men’s basketball coach at Binghamton, signing a five-year contract keeping him at the helm of the program through the 2026-27 season. After serving as an assistant coach for the Bearcats for 2 seasons, Sanders stepped into the role of head coach for the 2021-22 season and the program has seen instant results. Sitting at 10-13 overall and 7-7 in America East Play, Binghamton already has their most conference wins in 12 years with 4 games still to go. Currently in a tie for 4th place, if the Bearcats can finish the regular season in the top 4 in the America East, they will get to host a playoff game for the first time since 2009.
