A senior Golden Bear will be showcasing his talents on the gridiron at the next level.

Vestal senior Colin Kintner has signed his national letter of intent to play football for Division II Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania. A member of Vestal’s varsity football team for 3 years, Kintner earned All-Conference honors and helped the team to a Sectional Championship in 2018. Kintner was a factor on both sides of the ball playing running back and linebacker. He was named the Outstanding Defensive Player in 2019’s Sectional Final game and was a team captain. Kintner is a Sectional Champion wrestler and is a member of the Golden Bears baseball team. After switching from golf to football a few years back, Kintner says his goal became to play at the collegiate level.

“I just like how it was weight room oriented,” says Kintner. “I’ve gotten into power-lifting recently and that’s transpired into football. I love football and working hard together to reach one common goal of winning championships.”

As a member of 100% Raw Power-lifting, he won the 2019 championship in Strict Curl, as well as the 2019 World Championship in Bench/Deadlift.

In the classroom Kintner is an honor-roll student. He attended the Vestal Youth Police Academy and served as the Vice President of St.Michael’s Youth Group.

He plans on majoring in Exercise Science at Seton Hill.
