Cuomo Announces Guidance for High School Sports

During today's briefing Governor Cuomo provided an update on high school fall sports.
Low risk fall school sports such as tennis, soccer, cross country, field hockey and swimming can begin practice and play on September 21st in all regions. The sports must follow guidance issued from the New York State Health Department. Team's will not be able to travel outside of their region for games until at least October 19th.
High risk sports which include football, wrestling, volleyball, rugby and ice hockey can practice but are not able to play games yet. When those games can be played will be determined later on. Practices for those sports are limited to individual or group sessions with no to low contact training.
Schools will have to limit capacity of indoor facilities to 50% occupancy and spectators must be limited to 2 per player. There will also need to be social distancing and face coverings for spectators.
