Today for our senior spotlight we head out to Forks nation to talk about Blue Devils senior Sophie Rusnak.

Rusnak played on the Chenango Forks soccer team that experienced an incredible amount of success during her 4 years on the team. Every season since her freshman year the soccer team won a Sectional Title and a piece of the STAC title. She also was a part of 2 New York State titles. Rusnak also played on the Blue Devils lacrosse team, capturing a sectional title there as well. She says it’s been incredible playing in a community that shows so much support for their student-athletes.

“My community growing up was super supportive for sports,” says Rusnak. “Every sport whether it be soccer, football, lacrosse, tennis, whatever. As a sports nation, we were all super supportive. It just felt good to have such a supportive school to back you up with.”

Rusnak will be heading to SUNY Cortland in the fall where she will play on the Red Dragons soccer team and major in Biology. She hopes to become a Biology teacher along with a soccer and lacrosse coach.
