For today’s senior spotlight we go to Sparta to talk about Maine-Endwell senior Connor Green. 

Green has played on the Spartans varsity basketball team since he was in 10th grade. He experienced a Sectional title his sophomore year and this season was a part of a STAC title. Green earned an All-State honorable mention this season and made the Stars and Stripes Tournament, which showcases the best high school basketball players in our area, twice. Green says what he’ll miss most about playing for Maine-Endwell is the local support system. 

“The love from the community,” says Green. “There are so many people that come out and support that aren’t even affiliated with a kid or the school for that matter, they just want to see people in our area play sports and it’s really nice.” 

When he wasn’t playing basketball Green was a student mentor for the district’s summer enrichment program. He will be attending the College of Saint Rose where he will play on the basketball team and major in Business Administration.
