With the AHL's season suspended for the moment we don't know when we'll see the Binghamton Devils play again. But the Devils head in to the indefinite break scorching hot as the Devils have won their last 7 games. They still sit in the 4th and final playoff spot in the North Division and are only 1 point of 3rd and 3 points out of 2nd. After winning 3 games in 3 nights for the second time in as many weeks, Binghamton Head Coach Mark Dennehy says its clear where the consistency begins.

"Well first it starts with good goaltending," says Dennehy. "All 3 games our goalies gave us a chance to win. Zane's really seeing the puck well right now. He's given up one goal in his first 3 starts. But he'd be the first guy to tell you that our guys in front of him are doing pretty good as well."

Zane McIntyre was traded into the Devils organization from the Canucks at the NHL trade deadline. In 24 games in Utica this season, McIntyre put up a .894 Save Percentage, a 3.16 Goals Against Average and didn't record a shutout. In the 4 games he's started since joining the Devils, he's 4-0, has pitched 2 shutouts, and has a .977 Save Percentage. McIntyre says when you join a new team as a player you want to make a good first impression. While he's happy with his recent play he says that he isn't doing this all on his own.

"It's been nice having a team in front of me clearing out shots and clearing out rebounds," says McIntyre. "They've been a big part of it. Hockey is not just a one man sport we got 6 guys out there on the ice at one time. Our special teams have been doing really well as well. Just kind of doing my part and everyone is contributing as well so i think that's the big picture."

In the win against Rochester Wednesday night he became the first goalie to start 3 straight games with Binghamton this season. So while it could be awhile before we see the team in action again, McIntyre and the Devils have a lot to feel good about going into the indefinite break.
