The top ranked Tioga Tigers took on the Section 3 Champions the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights in the State Quarterfinals at Vestal High School. The Tigers came out of the gates hot scoring in less than 2 minutes to grab a 6-0 lead. A 15 minute delay caused by the lights going out couldn't even slow down Tioga. The Tigers took a 21-6 lead into the half and rolled from there to a 43-20 victory. Tioga will face off against Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama, who knocked them off last year in the state-semi finals, next Friday at 5pm at Cicero North Syracuse High School. Tioga's Coaches and players says they're looking forward to another opportunity to face them.

"It's just a new season. new season new kids. Been able to see them a couple times," says Tioga Head Coach Nick Aiello. "They're returning state champs. they're right where they should be with the talent they have. It'll be a good week of preparation, see what they do next week."

"We just gotta keep our front line going so we can keep it rolling on offense and defensively we just got to stop their pass game and I think we'll be fine," says Sophomore Running back Emmett Wood.
