Endicott, N.Y. - 'Golfer of the Century' Jack Nicklaus is coming to the Southern Tier. One of the biggest names in golf, arguably the greatest golfer of all time will be making his very first trip to En-Joie Golf Course this summer.

The World Golf Hall of Famer will be the Honorary Host for the 2019 UHS Golf Expo on Wednesday August 14th as a part of the DICK's Sporting Goods Open Week.

The Dick's Sporting Goods Open, UHS and Dr. Bai Lee made the announcement on Tuesday.

"Over the last five years, I have been working with his camp" said DSGO Tournament Director John Karedes. "The dates have conflicted because there isn't much breathing room considering the tournament is only one week out of the year. The window hasn't worked, but we are just so excited that the window works for 2019."

The 18-time Major Champion and six-time Masters winner, will talk about his career in a special event called “Stories with Jack,” emceed by SiriusXM Radio’s Dave Marr. Fans will also get a chance to ask Nicklaus questions at the DSG Open event.

"This is something that has never happened in this area" said Karedes. "I'm not sure if it will ever happen again, so make sure people mark Wednesday August 14th on their calendar."

The 7th annual UHS Expo will be held on Wednesday August 14th at 5 p.m. at En-Joie.

Guests are encouraged to wear yellow to support Nicklaus' #PlayYellow initiative. "Play Yellow for Children's Hospitals" strives to bring the entire golf world together to help the 10 million kids treated at local children's hospitals each year.

Admission to "Stories with Jack" is free but a $5 donation at the gate to benefit his foundation is suggested.
