It was a great day to be a Bearcat on Saturday, as both the men's and women's basketball teams won their first games in the America East over the University of New Hampshire Wildcats.

The men's team opened America East play with a win after an 18-9 closing run. Sam Sessoms scored 21 points in his second consecutive 20+ point game, while Caleb Stewart tallied more points and four steals. They travel to Stony Brook on Wednesday night for their second conference game. 

The women's team was also able to beat the Wildcats in New Hampshire after Carly Boland scored her career-high 23 points. Now, the Bearcats sit at 1-1 in the America East.
