Binghamton, N.Y. - Renovations over at NYSEG stadium began last week and over the weekend, over 6,000 seats have been removed from the stadium. The old blue seats have been part of the stadium since 1992, and are part of the $5.1 million improvement plan that's underway.

However, the new seats as well as the other improvements such as, new video boards, a renovated clubhouse, turf replacements, etc .will all be done by opening day of the 2019 season. The new seats will be red and blue with cup holders, resembling the official Binghamton Rumble Pony colors.

So, the question of course is where do the thousands of old seats go? Well, the chairs are owned by the City of Binghamton, therefore, they'll be deciding what to do with the seats. Rumble Ponies Assistant General Manger, John 'JB' Baynes is hoping they'll know extremely soon.

If the Rumble Ponies were able to do something on their own with the chairs, they would most likely "give them to season ticket holders and people who have been around the ball park for twenty-five plus years" said JB.
